Product Certification Engineer

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :

To manage the certification of our water heaters and electrical heaters and their compliance to standards

The mission of the Product Certification Engineer is to ensure the certification of the products and the compliance of our products to the applicable standard.

-        Coordinate certification activities and regulation management for MEA region & South America

-        Validate Engineering changes for regulation changes and Certification POV

-        Contact authorities and notified bodies in conducting certification process & Replying for NCRs.

-        Supervise all testing activities conducted by Authorities to conform the compliance of our products with local regulations.

-        Negotiate product modification inquiries with manufacturing Teams (i.e. Quality, Engineering, R&D, etc…) to reach a product region Standards and regulations.

-        Notify teams about updates in regulations/standards and deadline for application

-        Satisfy our customers’ needs by being proactively ready with docs/info needed to ship/clear material on time and avoid paying any demurrages related.

-        Arrange Shipments inspections as required by Authorities or their representative agencies.

-        Maintain a good relationship with Authorities and their Rep. in countries we deal with, to get all updated regulations on time, and confirm the compliance of our products accordingly.

-        Register products with related Authorities (i.e., Customs, ESMA, SASO, EOS ...etc) whenever required.

-          Maintain an updated approvals library for all products offered in our portfolio, and coordinate with manufacturing sites and Certification bodies (such as TUV, Intertek, Gulftic,…etc) to complete all formalities and renew all licenses.

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

• 3 years minimum of certification experience

• Microsoft Office proficiency

• Knowledge in home appliance certification IEC 60335

• Knowledge in local certification (ESMA, Gmark, SASO…)

• Fluent in English and French (nice to have)

• Experience with lab equipment and engineering tools
